Een trauma kan door een eenmalige gebeurtenis ontstaan, maar ook door frequente, chronische blootstelling aan stress, gevaar of andere ingrijpende situaties. De impact hiervan \u2013 de mate waarin er een trauma ontstaat \u2013 verschilt per persoon. Deze is vooral afhankelijk van de verwerking door je zenuwstelsel. We staan er niet meer dagelijks bij stil. Je lichaam vergeet echter niks en slaat alles op. Dat kunnen zowel grote als kleine gebeurtenissen zijn, die voor jou of het onderbewuste<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0<\/span>traumatisch zijn geweest. Bijvoorbeeld het overlijden van een dierbare, een traumatische bevalling, een miskraam, het opgroeien in een onveilige thuissituatie, een ziekenhuisopname, pesten en discriminatie.<\/p><p class=\"p1\">Als je emoties, stress, pijn en herinneringen aan traumatische gebeurtenissen wegstopt, zetten deze zich vast in je lichaam. Dan kunnen er allerlei lichamelijke en geestelijke klachten ontstaan. Daarmee laat het lichaam zien dat de energie stagneert en er blokkades
